| 内容記述 | Two experiments, Kanazawa'86 and '91, were conducted in similar manners : Both were 14-day experiments performed under the same conditions using the same-style goggles. The two experiments, however, had two contrastive aspects. The subject of Kanazawa'86 was a researcher having a wealth of knowledge in the field of visual transposition. By contrast, Kanazawa'91 was conducted with a subject unfamiliar with this theme. Further, this naive subject was not given suggestive comments concerning perceptual adaptation until the 13th day of the experiment. On and after the 13th day, her adaptive state was estimated by nine kinds of perceptual-behavioral tests and the 71-item questionnaire. The other contrastive aspect differentiating the two subjects was the difference of adaptation-type. The subject of Kanazawa'86 used dynamic visual information to perceive the direction of his body movements : This was named neck-type. On the other hand, the subject of Kanazawa'91 regarded static visual information as important : This was named hand-type. The introspective data and test data were compared between the two experiments. The important results were as follows : 1) The main process of adaptation to the visually left-right reversal was common to the two subjects. Both subjects lived in the left-right reversed world : They changed their body-image laterally and also changed the cognitive map surrounding them in the same way. 2) The hand-type subject perceived left and right not from the information having been used during normal vision but based on the visual information of her hands : "Right" was the direction of the visual image to her right hand seen through the reversing goggles. 3) The naive subject could not report profound introspection : Her reports were concentrated on a few salient contradictions between the visible and felt body. Further, her attention was easily directed to the behavioral performance which was easy for her to report objectively. | |||||
