| 内容記述 | In the system of the second foreign language learning at Kanazawa University, beginners are required to take two lessons each week. One lesson focuses on grammar and the other gives stress on oral-communication skills. In this paper, we report on the students’ levels of achievement in the oral-communication classes of German and French based on the can-do lists of the CEFR level A1. We also analyze some problems in the course design at the university which make it difficult for the students to follow the successive learning steps shown in the CEFR, and give our opinions about the possibilities for improving language teaching at the university focusing on competency development necessary for communication. | |||||
