| 内容記述 | 異なる文化へ移動する人々に対する研究はその必要性から数多くなされ成果を上げてきた。本研究では、外国人留学生と多く接触する機会を持つ日本人を対象に、関わり方の実態について明らかにすると共に、それぞれ立場からの異文化理解の深化プロセスについて、参加観察並びに意識調査を行った。対象となる人々とは、日本人学生(留学生のチューターおよびボランティアを含む)、留学生の指導教官、留学生との接触頻度が高い部門で働く大学事務職員、ホストファミリー、また留学生の子供の担任教師である。その際、留学生と日本人学生との交流の必要性から、主としてボランティアの日本人学生の事例を取り上げ、異文化理解に有効なストラテジーについて、また指導教官・ホストファミリー、担任教師以外の対象者全員に、留学生に使用する日本語について、の2側面から検討を行った。さらに、帰国直前の留学生のカルチャー・ショック、文化摩擦、滞在中のネガティブな体験を収集し、それに対する日本人の側の受け止め方の実態を質問紙調査により把握した。このような手続きを経て明らかにされた日本語の使用例や異文化理解の実例は、「異文化理解のためのハンドブック」としてまとめられ、留学生と接する機会の多い日本人への配布を予定している。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | An increasing number of international students are studying at the university in Japan. The purpose of this study was to find strategy of understanding and promoting cultural exchange with international students. Japanese students, academic advisers, administrative staffs, host families and school teachers were examined by questionnaire made from interview that international students had recieved negative experiences, dufficulties and cultural gap in Japanese life. At the same time, Jananese students and staffs were inquried communication style with foreigners. Furthermore, we could know the process of better understanding on other culture among academic advisors and students helping international students as volunteers. Several interviews had attempted to make their closs-cultural cntact clear. According to these results, we will make out handbook to understand and overcome cultural gap and then distribute it widely among the people who have many contact with international students. | |||||
