| 内容記述 | 本研究では、計画通りサウジアラビア北西部で複数の遺跡の位置や内容を確認した。これらの遺跡には、銅石器時代と考えられる環状祭祀遺構と前期青銅器時代と考えられる円塔墓と台状祭祀遺構が含まれていた。研究の結果、３遺構の系統関係を示す内部施設の特定に成功し、これらが通時的に関連していることが明らかにした。その他に銅石器時代末期に属する新たなタイプの遺構（不正形の立石遺構）を検出した。また、同じく銅石器時代末期に属する集落遺跡を検出した。この遺構は径５ｍほどの円形遺構が連なった形状を有しており、集落と家畜囲いと考えられる。最終年度に集落遺跡を発見することができ、今後の古代遊牧民研究の指針となった。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | This research led to the discovery of scores of archaeological sites in Northwestern Saudi Arabia and involved recording their locations and other details. These sites of the Early Bronze Age were characterized by three distinct features: Chalcolithic Enclosures, Tower Tombs, and Platforms. Therefore, it was clarified that these three features were closely related in chronological order. Moreover, standing stone alignment features dating back to the end of the Chalcolithic period were recognized for the first time in the research field. In addition, new settlement sites toward the end of the Chalcolithic period were also discovered. These settlement sites comprised conjunct round feature complexes considered to be dwellings and corrals. The discovery of the Chalcolithic settlement sites offers new perspectives on ancient nomad research in the research field. | |||||
