| 内容記述 | 本研究は、従来調査研究が不十分であったサッカラ遺跡の新王国時代の墓地の調査を試み、埋葬習慣、文化史、政治史を解明することを目的とした。調査は、過去の遺跡地図の検討、衛星画像の解析、考古学的踏査、三次元地形測量、物理探査などを駆使して実施した。その結果、北サッカラのテティ王のピラミッドの北西部に約10万㎡の規模の広大な新王国時代の墓地を世界で初めて発見することに成功した。また、同地区の東側に位置する斜面においても踏査、測量、探査を実施した後、有望地点にて試掘調査を行った。その結果、従来同地区では検出されていなかった第18王朝の埋葬関連遺物が大量に出土し、付近に新王国時代の墓が存在する確信を得た。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | The goal of this project is to explore the New Kingdom cemeteries in Saqqara Necropolis which has not been comprehensively studied. It is aimed to reveal the burial customs, cultural history and political history in Memphis during the New Kingdom. The exploration of Saqqara was carried out by using several methods including examination of the old maps of the site, examination of the satellite images, archaeological reconnaissance, mapping survey, and geophysical prospections. As a result, we discovered an extensive New Kingdom cemetery in the area to the north-west of Teti Pyramid, measuring approximately 100,000㎡. We also conducted another survey in the eastern slope of the escapement, which is located to the east of the aforementioned New Kingdom cemetery. Then, we conducted archaeological sounding in the most promising place in the eastern slope and revealed a number of artifacts dating to the Eighteenth Dynasty, indicating the existence of New Kingdom tombs in the vicinity. | |||||
