| 内容記述 | 日本では、フェアトレードのように、グローバルレベルに展開するオルタナティヴフードシステム（GAFS）が出現しつつある。本研究では、日本の社会的企業が展開する環境に根差したエビの生産システム（ESPS）を事例に、GAFSの構造的特質と機能を理解することを目的とする。ESPSは、集約型とは対極的なエビの生産システムであり、伝統的な粗放型養殖のように、自然の動力・生産力に依拠する度合いが強い。ただし、単純な粗放型への回帰ではなく、品質管理や生産性の向上に向けて科学的知識が動員されている点に大きな特徴がある。ESPSにおける人々の行為は、自然環境や在来知、科学的知識の布置連関に埋め込まれている。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | The purpose of this study is to understand the structural features and functions of Global Alternative Food System (GAFS), focusing on the Eco-Shrimp production system (ESPS) in Indonesia. ESPS is an organic shrimp production project conducted by Japanese company A and shrimp cultivators in Indonesia. This project started in Surabaya, Gresik, and Pinrang as a consequence of several problems related to industrialized shrimp farming, such as mangrove deforestation, water pollution, and food safety issues. Similarly to the traditional production system, ESPS uses local knowledge and is embedded in ecological conditions around the production site. But it does not simply represent a return to small-scale and traditional farming because scientific knowledge also forms a part of the production network for the sake of shrimp viability improvement. In an ESPS, human actors’ behaviors are embedded in a relationship with natural environment while applying a mix of local and scientific knowledge. | |||||
