| 内容記述 | 日本の南西諸島と南太平洋に点在する島嶼国には，アダンを利用する多様な文化や技術が共通して存在する。沖縄ではプラスチック等の人工素材の普及でアダン文化は失われつつあるが，南太平洋域ではアダンは現在も日常的に利用されており，作り手の技術やコミュニティの伝統的な文化を表現するものとなっている。また，島嶼部の現金収入源のひとつでもある。アダンサミットは，共通するアダン文化を持つ環太平洋域の人たちを結ぶ国際交流の催しである。第3 回となる今回は， 4 名の研究者による講演のほか，バヌアツから技能者4 名を沖縄に迎え，アダン文化の交流をキーワードに，文化・技術継承，沿岸部の環境保全，脱プラスチック政策などについて，議論が交わされた。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | Both the Southwest Islands in Japan and the South Pacific countries have a wide variety of cultures and technologies that use Adan in common. However, in Okinawa Japan, Adan culture is now disappearing due to the spread of plastics and other artificial materials. In the South Pacific, Adan is still used in daily life and expresses the craftsmanship and the traditional culture of the community. It is also one of the sources of cash income for the residents of these islands. The Adan Summit is an international conference that connects people in the Pacific Rim community by Adan culture. In last 3 rd conference in Okinawa Japan was held with four craftsperson invited from Vanuatu. Lectures by four researchers were followed by discussions on the key word Adan, cultural and technological inheritances, environmental conservation in coastal areas, and a policy of plastic-free. | |||||
